About

Luke 10:27
"You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.' And, 'Love your neighbor as yourself."

A Little Bit About Me
My name is Chantelle Thomas-Henderson.
I LOVE:
My husband, children, family, and friends, a cup or 2 or 10 of coffee, a beautiful day with the wind blowing on my face, watching the sun set and rise, writing, reading, playing Uno with Ryan and the boys, Chris’ dimples, Jeremy’s eyes, Ryan’s kisses, when Ryan grabs my hands and starts dancing in the middle of the kitchen floor with no music. Big bear hugs. Psalm 139, Psalm 23, Psalm 27. Chocolate Almond Ice Cream with the hard shell chocolate on top. Leslie Sansone’s Walk Away The Pounds Exercise DVDs. T.D. Jakes. Loud thunderstorms. rain, a fire in a wood burning fireplace, Siesta Key Beach, hot baths, a comfy pair of Nite Nite Munki Munki Pajamas.  Three wick large candles from Bath & Body Works. purses, purses. Did I say purses? People who are real. My fur baby, Spitty, my cat.
The Message Bible. The Amplified Bible.
Bejeweled Blitz. The Melting Pot. Nooma DVDs (Rob Bell).
My Gap boot cut blue jeans.
Loyalty.

Transparency.

Being around real people with real problems whether Christian or not.
Reading books by Angela Thomas, Joyce Meyer and Francine Rivers.
When I fall, I get back up.
Quit trying to be Super Christian to the rescue years ago.
I can be loud and at times obnoxious.  Working on it.
Will listen to others’ opinion of me is, but don’t gauge who I am based on what others’ think.
I took of the mask a long time ago, Praise God!
I have a very eclectic taste in music. Anything from country, pop, contemporary Christian, R&B, singers like Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Amy Grant, The Fray, and Corinne Bailey Rae just to name a few.
My favorite movies are Imitation Of Life starring Lana Turner, When Harry Met Sally, Diary Of A Mad Black Woman, Fireproof, The Lion King, Father Of The Bride (all of them), Steel Magnolias, War Room, Evan Almighty, Wonder Woman, Selma, The Help, and The Shack, Daddy's Home, Why Did I Get Married, The Passion Of The Christ, The Devil Wears Prada, Last Holiday, Bringing Down The House, Dumb And Dumber, Finding Nemo, Titanic, ELF, The Great Debaters, 28 Things, One True Thing, Tombstone, Hidden, Crouching Tiger-Hidden Dragon.  There are many more, but those are at the top of my list.
My favorite TV shows are Blue Bloods, S.W.A.T., Blackish, Grey's Anatomy, Lie To Me, Designated Survivor, Rizolli & Isles, The Office, Dateline, and 20/20, Family Fued, Will & Grace, Downton Abbey, This is Us, Major Crimes, Leverage, The Closer, Psych, Covert Affairs, Army Wives, and The Closer.  Some of these are no longer on the air but I still watch them on repeat.
I can’t stand it when someone is even close to being judgmental and will call them out in a heartbeat.
I don’t like talking on the phone, although for whatever reason, that’s changing too.  Go figure…..?
I forgive quickly realizing that there are so many things I’ve been forgiven for.
I’ve been told that I should have been a comedian.
My husband Ryan is my person.  He's my soulmate, best friend, and protector.  We always say 2 things.  "We have a crazy, stupid love.", and "We 'bout that stay-together-til-Jesus-Comes-Back kinda thang.
I’m far from the perfect wife and mother I should be, but will never stop striving to be that Proverbs 31 woman.
I try not to take the relationships in my life for granted, for each and every one is a blessing-whether it last for a season or a lifetime.
My friends have two nick names for me. One is Tae Tae, and the other one is Madea (Tyler Perry’s character in his movies and plays). They call me Madea because I am bold and tell it like it is. I speak the truth in love and you NEVER have to wonder where you stand with me. I believe in resolving conflicts as soon as possible, otherwise it becomes a poison that kills friendships. My life is far from perfect.
I don’t read my Bible everyday like I should, although I’m getting better.. I don’t always pray like I should either.  I often fall short. Every now and then I have a swear word come out of my mouth.
I can get really involved if I see anyone (strangers and friends alike) being used, abused, and taken advantage of and have no problems confronting them with a boldness that some would view as, well, very bold and maybe harsh although I’ve been told there’s a softness about me lately.
THANK GOD FOR HIS MERCY AND GRACE!!!
In spite of anyone’s station in life, believe that each person, whether deemed good or bad is worthy of our compassion which can only be gained by having relationship with Him and being able to see them through God’s eyes and not my own.
People who arrogantly use titles and think they’re better than everyone else annoy the heck out of me.
I hate religion and yearn instead for relationship with the Father. One of my favorite sayings is “Just Give Me Jesus”.  I live to know Him and make Him known.
Believe that I would be a total and utter a mess (or even dead) had it not been for the power of the blood of Jesus Christ that set me free and continues to set me free. Realize that walking out my salvation and trusting Him every step of the way is not a one time act, but a daily decision born out of intimate relationship with Him.
I believe that physical and emotional scars are beautiful because they tell a story and turn your mess into a message. What the enemy meant to destroy you, Papa takes it and displays your testimony for His glory. We may never know why some of the bad things happened in our life. But we can choose how you can use your scars to minister to those around you and be “Jesus with skin on”. You may be that one person they will listen to when they wouldn’t listen to anyone else because you shared in the same suffering.
